Supporting Our Work

As a charity we are fairly small, but by no means insignificant! The students we have on our team are happy, engaged, positive and focused on being the very best they can be and we value each and every one of them.

They are fully involved in every aspect of the RPM (Reaching People Through Music) Record Shop in Sittingbourne town centre, from sourcing the stock, pricing it up, display, customer care, cashing up, social media and housekeeping. In fact, anything and everything that it takes in running a retail business.

Our team members also enjoy gaining more experience with us and so we regularly organise courses for them to further enhance their skills, not just in the workplace but for life in general. And of course there are the social side of things - absolutely crucial for those who perhaps struggle to communicate and are challenged by certain environments. We support them in all of this. But, as I said, we are but a small organisation in the scheme of things. Let's face it, all charities are finding times are tough right now, and we are no exception. Funding and grant opportunities are few and far between and the amounts being offered to support our kind of work are dwinderling by the day. And that's if you're successful in your application!

So, as we enter our 10th birthday year - the Fenner Frost Foundation was formed in 2016 - I just thought I'd take a moment to remind you of how you can support us - perhaps for the next 10 years:-

1) You can click on the 'Donate' button, here on our Home Page. Any amount would be fab!

2) You can donate your pre-loved Vinyl, CDs & Tape Cassette's to RPM.

3) You can buy your brand new and pre-loved music from RPM.

4) You can purchase Gift Vouchers for a family member or friend.

5) You can raise money for us by doing a sponsored sky-dive or marathon - in fact, whatever mad-cap escapade you wanna challenge yourself to do!

AND NOW...

6) You can become a Fenner Frost Friend! Yes, launching today (7 April 2026), you are able to become a friend of ours - officially!

By becoming a Fenner Frost Friend, you can take advantage of some amazing benefits; from 25% discount on pre-loved purchases, to 10% off all our new vinyl and a copy of our newsletter. There's Individual Membership and Business, so something for everyone! And here's the kicker - your friendship will mean the world to us... It will allow us to continue our crucial work, not just within our four walls, but more importantly, it will ensure that we continue to raise awareness of the positive contribution that people with learning disabilities can bring, not just to the workplace but in our families and our community.

For more information, email us at fenner.frost@yahoo.co.uk or pop into RPM anytime and talk to one of the team - they will bedelighted to welcome you into the shop!
